How Much Does a Klein Curaçao Boat Trip Cost?

A Klein Curaçao day trip costs $140 to $160 per person on our booking partner. That is the whole range across all four operators — a $20 spread on a $150 ticket.

Which means price is close to useless as a way of choosing, and the interesting question is not what these boats cost but what the money is buying, because that varies far more than the headline does.

The four crossings, priced

Every figure is the operator’s own live listing at the time of writing. Prices move; the booking page always shows the current one.

What closes the $20 gap

Drinks. Irie Tours is the only one of the four with alcohol inside the fare — water, sodas, juice, rum, vodka, blue Curaçao, wine and beer from 12:30. Mermaid sells drinks aboard at roughly $5 for a beer, wine or mixed drink and $10 for a cocktail. The Gold Seahorse charges $10 a cocktail, card only. Miss Ann’s premium open bar is $35 on weekdays and included on the Weekend Supreme option.

Four drinks over a nine-hour day is $20 to $40. That is the entire spread between the cheapest and most expensive boat on this route, and it moves the cheapest ticket further ahead rather than levelling things.

Getting to the pier. Three of the four leave you to reach a marina 20 to 25 minutes from central Willemstad before seven in the morning. Irie Tours includes transfers — free inside the Jan Thiel area, $15 per person from elsewhere. For two people that is another $30 or more of taxi on the other three. Where each boat leaves from.

Island extras. Miss Ann’s beach house carries a dive school, a massage area and gear rental, all payable on the day. Mermaid offers scuba diving on the island priced by certification level. These are genuine additions rather than hidden charges, but they belong in the sum if you intend to use them.

Add it up and the real cost of a Klein Curaçao day, drinks and transport included, lands somewhere between $155 and $210 per person depending on which boat and how you drink.

What each price step actually buys

$140 — Irie Tours. The lowest price, the open bar and the transfer. What you give up is a building: beach chairs ashore, no beach house, no toilet and no shower on the island. If you plan to drink and you have no car, this is the cheapest day by a clear margin. Full breakdown.

$155 — Mermaid. $15 more buys exclusive access to the operator’s own beach house with palapas and beach chairs set out before you land, plus by far the most reviews on the route — 4.8 from 339. Alcohol is extra. On a treeless island, the shade alone justifies the step. Full breakdown.

$155 — Miss Ann. The same money buys the most complete facilities anyone has on Klein Curaçao: restrooms, a freshwater shower, a buffet area, a beach bar and a dive school, plus a guided snorkel safari and a rum punch on the way home. $160 — Gold Seahorse. The dearest ticket and the shortest day, which is an unusual combination and a deliberate one. It buys a catamaran yacht with teak decks and sun beds, a restroom on board, and the most substantial lunch on the route — filet mignon, loin ribs, salmon and chicken. No beach house. When a private charter is cheaper

Charters price per boat, not per person, which changes the arithmetic entirely once your party grows:

• Self-drive boat rental — $269 for up to 6, three hours → $45 each
• Private customisable tour — $440 for up to 4, seven hours → $110 each
• Private powerboat cruise — $950 for up to 8, three hours → $119 each

Cheaper boat days that are not Klein Curaçao

If the number is the obstacle rather than the trip:

Neither reaches Klein Curaçao, and both are genuinely good days on the water for well under half the price.
